Hadley Capital’s Operating Partners are experienced executives that serve on portfolio company boards of directors, assist us in evaluating new acquisitions, and provide specific tactical and/or strategic advice to our portfolio company managers. Operating Partners are a valuable source of guidance and counsel but are not involved in the day-to-day operations of Hadley Capital or our portfolio companies.

Richard M. Franks
Hadley Capital Directorships: |
Mr. Franks (Dick) is an experienced publishing executive. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of American Community Newspapers. Among other positions prior to joining ACN, Mr. Franks served as President, CEO, and Publisher of North of Boston Media Group/Eagle-Tribune Publishing Company, a Pulitzer Prize-winning conglomerate of daily and weekly publications. Earlier, Mr. Franks’ worked at The Dispatch Publishing Company in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Mr. Franks served as Senior Vice President of BancOne Capital managing a portfolio of newspapers in the Detroit area.
Mr. Franks graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BA in Political Science in 1969 and an MA, with honors, in Public Administration in 1973. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 and was awarded the Bronze Star and two Army Commendation Medals for service as a first lieutenant in Vietnam. Mr. Franks and his wife have four children and live in The Woodlands, TX. In 2011, Dick became President and CEO of Open Sky Media, Inc., a Hadley Capital portfolio company. |

Michael G. Mayberry

Mr. Mayberry (Mike) was formerly President and principal owner of HighReach Learning, Inc., a niche oriented educational publishing company. Mr. Mayberry facilitated the sale of the company to a Canadian entertainment company. His prior business experience was in healthcare information systems; serving as Vice President of sales and marketing with SAI, Inc. and Senior Vice President –Operations with American Express Health Systems Group, a subsidiary of First Data Corporation.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mike is active within the Charlotte Community with not for profit organizations, such as the YMCA. Mike and his wife have three sons and reside in Charlotte, NC. |

Robert W. Wilkins
Hadley Capital Directorships: |
Mr. Wilkins (Bob) is the former President and CEO of Kelatron Corporation, a Hadley Capital investment that was exited in November, 2011. Prior to joining Kelatron, Mr. Wilkins lived in Manila and managed a multi-billion international conglomerate. For those of you who have traveled to the Philippines, you are probably familiar with Wilkins Water – one of the successful companies that Mr. Wilkins started – that is now owned by Coca Cola. His prior business experience includes Western States Operational Consulting Director with the auditing firm of Coopers & Lybrand and Vice-President of Corporate Purchasing/Inventory Management for McKesson Corporation a $100+ billion health care distribution company. Bob lives in Ogden, UT. | |
